The Gondola

The Gondola opened 10 December 2006.

The Gondola is the biggest investment through the history of Hafjell and the the installation lifts the resort and the guests to a higher level. The distance is 2470 m and the top station is at Mosetertoppen 781 m.a.s.l where a new restaurant gives you a feeling of welcome to the mountain. 

570 vertical metres are at your disposal before you have returned to base. You can traffic the upper mountain by going through the Middle station at 475 m.a.s.l

The ride takes 7 minutes, and the journey is most comfortable where you can entertain yourself by watching the scenic landscape, the river or the skiers underneath. The skis are placed in a holder on the outside of the gondola cabin which seats 8 persons.

For the upcoming season further 20 gondola cabins are added to the cable, increasing the capacity to 2500 person per hour. Thus our guests spend less time in lift lines and more time on the slopes.
