Mountain Biking Magazine sings Hafjell`s praiseBy: Marit Gjerland (Translation) [Last modified: 19/10/2009 11:44:32]Hafjell Bike Park can boast no less than 7 pages of coverage in the June edition, where the bike product is highly praised. The magazine with 40 000 subscribers is regarded as the most important publication on the international mountain biking marked.
INSANE ! One of the head titles of the article says: «One of the best places in the world to roll your wheels». A statement that brought the park`s architect and fiery soul, Snorre Pedersen, almost to tears. Snorre read the article when visiting Scotland on a study tour.
- This is totally insane ! An obvioulsy proud Snorre quotes the article loud and clear;
«It might have been the midnight sun that inspired us to visit Norway, but it is the Hafjell Bike Park that will make us come back».
The seven pages are richly illustrated, and all facilities from trails, bikes, bike shop and work shop gain full score.
- Is this too good to be true ? the operation manager for summer activities, Asgeir Linberg, responds;
- Well, it is hard for an insider to really know the true value of a product you are working closely to, but after having visited France last year, we realized that we had no reason to be ashamed of what is developed in Hafjell. Anyway it is always a great inspiration to receive recognition like this.

Traffic up 100% The summer season so far has progressed according to plans, and compared to the 2007 summer, the number of visitors is doubled.
- The season so far has been the success we hoped for. Lift served downhill- and mountain biking is still a minor activity, but the figures will surely increase. Hafjell aims at improving and expanding the lift served bike product and also provide better trails and single tracks in the higher mountain terrain. We have several trails that vouch for excitement and enjoyable rides.
Hafjell Bike Park has also been visited by a film team serving international sport channels like Xtreme Sports, Extreme Sports Channel, Fox Fuel and Havoc TV. As with Mountain Biking they are extremely pleased with what they find in the hills of Hafjell.
