Hafjell - a family paradise

In Hafjell you will find both family friendly skiing and fast-paced action. Why choose when you can have both?

Just a fifteen minute drive north of Lillehammer lies one of the largest and most versatile ski resorts in Norway. Hafjell Ski Resort offers skiing for all levels - from the very beginner to the expert.

Easy to get to

Hafjell Ski Resort is approximately a 2 hours drive North from Oslo. The E6 Highway is a fast, safe and comfortable highway where the traffic flows well. The ski resort is visible from the highway and there is hardly another ski resort in
Norway with better access than Hafjell. You can go by bus or train from Oslo Airport, and the train stop in Lillehammer with corresponding buses to Hafjell.

Hafjell for kids

In Hafjell we take the children seriously and our main focus will always be satisfying our youngest ski guests. From this season, there will be a total of three great children’s areas. The third and new children’s area will be located at the Gaia lift with easy access from the parking and the café and after ski at Gaiastova. At the bottom of the resort you will find our first children’a area, which is also the meeting point for the ski school. With several flat, wide slopes made especially for the beginners. The area is well adapted with lifts and slopes for even the youngest to master. Turn between the soft shapes in the ski school’s own slalom course.

Our second and most popular children’s area is situated at the top of Mosetertoppen. It is possible for beginners to take the Gondola to the mountains and learn skiing for the first time.

Take the Gondola to the mountain

The gondola will take you up to Hafjell’s center, Mosetertoppen, a wonderful children's area. Up here the children may also enjoy themselves without skis. With the Gondola you can get to the mountain with a wheelchair, a stroller or a dog.
At Mosetertoppen you will find another children's area, KIDS Frontyard. The whole family can enjoy their day of skiing with wide slopes, small jumps and fun slalom gates specially designed for the youngest children. Ski down and try the jumps, and take the warm and sheltered lift up again. If you want a bigger challenge, take the platter lift up and try the forest trail. A warm lounge is situated in the midst of the area, where you can relax and regain your warmth.
There is also a BMW Skimovie to be found at Mosetertoppen. This ski slope has got a real start port with timing and filming. Try it out and be an alpine star for a day - challenge your family and friends, and share your movies directly on
Facebook.

Hungry after a hours of fun in the snow? Hafjell’s culinary flagship, Skavlen, lies right next to the Gondola. Choose between delicious Italian pizzas, tender lamb shanks or taste the irresistible cinnamon buns. Skavlen is just one of several exciting eateries in the resort.

Park for all levels

Try jumping for the first time in KIDS Frontyard, or practise your skills in Backyard, a terrain park with medium jumps, boxes and rails. Ride the rail park which ends up in Hafjell’s most famous terrain park, "Main Park". Main Park is the
perfect playground for the toughest and most skilled park enthusiasts. The park has won several titles; both as Norway's best park and named one of the world's ten best parks by International media. Today you can find the future ski and snowboard stars here practising their jumps and tricks. The several terrain parks in Hafjell offers good space, and challenges skiiers and boarders at all levels. News for season 2016-17 is floodlight in our intermediate terrain park,
Backyard. The night skiing in Hafjell will with the terrain park improve a lot and will attract more young skiiers.

Hafjell - the versatile ski resort

The combination of great skiing, exciting challenges, delicious food and the nearby, well- known city, Lillehammer, is probably what made Hafjell one of Scandinavia's most popular places to go skiing. Yet, you will rarely get the feeling
of crowded slopes. Try out Hafjell’s wide range of slopes, play in the blue slopes or challenge yourself in the olympic
slopes. Here you will find wide slopes perfect for carving, exciting trails through the woods and scenic hills with views of the mountains of Gudbrandsdalen.
