Trail map summer
Our bike park consists of 18 different trails, which varies in difficulty from green to black. This makes Hafjell Bike Park a perfect arena for anyone who wants to try this exciting sport! See the trail map and description of the trails below.
1.NM Løypa. Black forest trail
A purebred race track with large step-downs, rockgardens, technical forest sections, gap jumps and the infamous “Hangar ship” jump. This was the first downhill trail built here, and the beginning of Hafjell Bike Park.
2.Buldreløypa. Red, a mix of forest and machine built trail
Buldreløypa has it all, from rocks and roots to tabletop’s, hip jumps and berms to a massive wallride and the 5 meter high Buldredrop. You can also improve your drop skills in the Buldre Dropzone.
3.Gressløypa/Grass trail. Red, forest trail
A natural singeltrack with sweeping berms, rocks, roots and high speed sections. It takes some runs to get it dialed but once you got it, it’s great fun. Nice to ride as a combination with Buldreløypa.
4.Moe’town. Blue, machine built trail
A silky smooth feelgood trail trail with berms, pump sections, tabletop’s, rollers and whoops. Moe’town is a blast no matter what bike you’re on –just cruising or on the gas!
5.Parkløypa (Parktrail). Blue, machine built trail
Parkløypa is a great trail for first timers, and the perfect warm up for more experienced riders. Berms, hip jumps, tabeltop’s and step up’s all the way. It is highly addictive. The venue for our yearly chainless competition.
6.Expressen. Red, machine built trail.
As the name describes, it is a fast one -with some steep sections and not for the faint hearted. If you wonder about the main Expressen being a bit too much, take a right into the light version (6A) and you will get an easier and more gentle option under your wheels.
7.Lett Nedfart. Gravel road
A wide and easy trail running down the mountain, mostly on gravel roads. This is a soft introduction to riding downhill. It takes you from the top of the chairlift and all the way down to the Bike Shop in the bottom.
8.Roller Coaster. Black machine built trail
Jumps and berms on steroids. Everything is big, fast and massive in this thrilling trail, and it has become the trademark for Hafjell Bike Park. The pro’s favorite!
9.Røbølstien. Black forest trail
It is as hard to ride as it is difficult to pronounce. This is as rocky and tricky as it gets with more than 70% of it being off camber rocks and roots. This was also the main rockgarden in the Hafjell world championship downhill trail, pushing the world’s best racers to their limits.
10.Old School. Black forest trail
This trail brings you back to the original form of mountainbike downhill. It is step and narrow with off camber roots and difficult turns. It just keep’s getting better and better for each year.
11. Brattlykkja. Red, machinebuilt singeltrack
This is a super sweet bermy singeltrack on your way down from the upper mountain and down to the valley station.
12.Dessert. Blue, machine built trail
Every good meal requires a nice dessert, this is Hafjell Bike Parks mountainbike version of it. A sweeping singletrack, taking you down and making sure you are smiling when you get down to the bottom of the mountain.
13.Vestcut. Red, forest trail
A small shortcut that allows you to ride single trail all the way to the mid-station. Once you've comitted to the steep entrance, the rest of the trail flows nicely through the woods.
14.Nameless. Machine built trail
Some of the funniest berms in Hafjell Bike Park with some small jumps thrown in for some extra spice. The Name? It didn’t get a name when we were building it, so it’s still nameless.
15.New School. Black forest trail
Sweeping down right next to Old School, it’s a flowy singletrack with all you need for a thrilling ride.
16. Familieløypa • Green beginner trail
New in 2016, this trail is the perfect introduction to downhill. A nice, wide and easy machine built trail through a nice terrain with tunnels, bridges and open landscapes. Suitable for any skill level and mountainbike.
17. VM Starten. Black machine built trail
This route was made for the World Championshipp back in 2014. Head out of the start gate and hit the 3 classic Hafjell jumps before entering a small rock garden after which you can choose between going up the chairlift again, or continue along the world cup track.
18. Illenberger. Black Forest Trail
Our newest trail in the Bike Park, designed and shoveled by local rider Ole Henrik Illenberg. This steep and technical trail only gets better each year and it also grows longer, bottom to top. By the end of 2019, we hope that it will reach the top of the chairlift.
