The real winter wonderland

Vinter og snø i Hafjell.

In Hafjell you get real snow, just as you remember it from your childhood.
The snow that crackles under your skis and creates snow crystals on the tip of your nose.
The mountains and trees get formations that only belong to a fairytale winter.

Out skiing

Happy children - means happy parents!
At Hafjell, it is the youngest who are the most important guests, they are our biggest critics and our foremost ambassadors. Whether you want to go on a Diamond Hunt with the kids, or those on their own, maybe you all want to go on a Family Safari and explore parts of the ski resort you have never seen before, or would not have found otherwise?

At Hafjell you will find something for the whole family. Kind family areas, simple slopes, steep slopes, lifts for the little ones and lifts for the big ones, children's parks and activity areas as well as a varied selection of restaurants. We have ski rental both down on Skitorget and on the mountain at Gaiastova, the same with Ski School for young and old.

If you have children who want to play in parks, we have this for both the little ones and the slightly older ones.

Come to us and we guarantee to fill your time, with fun and snow!

Experiences in snow

Few people know about all the possibilities that exist in Hafjell and Lillehammer in the winter. When you have left the skies at the cabin and the children still want to experience real snow, we have some tips for you.

In December, before Christmas, there is nothing better than an afternoon in the cozy Christmas street in Lillehammer. Maybe you also choose to stop by Maihaugen and the open-air museum. Here you can experience exciting exhibitions indoors, but for a winter experience we highly recommend the  fantastic surroundings for a walk in the cultural landscape.

Tobogganing in the Olympic Park is a great activity in the evening. And if you want to feel even more adrenaline and g-forces, we recommend testing bobrafting in Norway's only bobsleightrack. Dog sledding, snowshoeing, moonlight hiking in the mountains on cross-country skis, building a snowman, making snow angels, skating on the Vingnesvika icetrack or try out ice fishing on a mountain lake or on Gudbrandsdalslågen.

And last, but not least, the WinterPark. 3 weeks every winter the WinterPark opens a fairytale experience with ice sculptures, snow hotel, snow cathedral, trolls, the joy of snow for the children and a fantastic closing fireworks displayed with the lights from Hafjell in the background.
