Ilsetra Hotel

Ilsetra lies in a mountain pasture 950 metres above sea level at the top of Hafjell and was built on the site of an old homestead dating back to the 1600s. It consists of several buildings enclosing a courtyard. We have used logs, slate and soapstone, outfitting the interiors with a combination of antiques and modern furniture.

The hotel has a unique location that provides guests with direct access to amazing nature experiences right outside the door. Whether you want to explore trails and cross-country ski tracks or enjoy the view from the alpine slopes, Ilsetra is the perfect starting point for an active and relaxing mountain holiday. Here, you can enjoy a swim under the open sky, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. The pool is the ideal place to unwind after a day of activities.
