Favn is the place to stay within easy reach of activities for the whole family, both summer and winter. In winter, the pistes are right on your doorstep – with family-friendly slopes and magic carpet lifts for the very young. In summer, you have direct access to Hafjell’s new pump track and downhill biking.

Perfect for children

Right outside Favn lies the massive pumptrack with happy kids biking around. At winter the family areas, with magic carpet lift and fun elements, lies in the "garden" of Favn. It is impossible to stay any closer to the family areas.

Our mascot,  Isa, often shows up here as well. We also have playgrounds, cross-country trails and amazing hiking possibilities.

Apartments have 2 to 5 bedrooms. One of the signature features of the complex is the characteristic window design that offers spectacular views and creates stunning light and a unique sense of space.

The holiday apartments, most of which are west-facing, are in an elevated and airy location at 800-835 metres above sea level.

Hafjell is renowned for its wide range of activities, with high-quality alpine runs and endless cross-country ski trails into the mountains. During the summer season, the area offers an abundance of hiking and cycling routes and spectacular nature adventures. In the local community, there are cultural events and the opportunity to enjoy delicious local food.

Favn bike- and ski rental

You can book bike rental at Favn. Here you can rent a downhill bike, mountain bikes, both electric and regular, as well as children's bikes. We also lend free children's bicycles to the pump track.

When you are a guest at Favn, you can pre-order ski rental and have the equipment delivered to the ski locker that belongs to your apartment. The ski rental has a department at Favn, with a small ski shop. Here, you can upgrade or change skis and boots, and deliver your skis to be tuned for the next day.

Restaurant Favn

 

Restaurant Favn

The restaurant house is designed as a unique gathering point. You can enjoy a tasty lunch with good friends, or have a good dinner in the evening.

In our restaurant we serve dishes and flavours from the whole world, but made of local meat, fish and vegetables. The lunch menu is a selection of the Head chef's favorite dishes which suits everyone. When it is dinner time , we serve a "social dining" menu, with dishes to be shared around the table and a selection of small dishes. Stone baked pizza is on the menu the whole day.

Cafe Favn

 

Cafè Favn

Right next to the restaurant is Café Favn. Here you can sit down for a cup of coffee, cocoa for the kids and today's freshly baked goods! A small and cosy place that will be a popular addition at Mosetertoppen.

Café Favn will have breakfast and lunch service. The menu includes sweet baked goods, panini, soup and hot drinks. In the afternoon, Café Favn will have small dishes, beer, wine and simple drinks.

The mountain right outside the door

With Favn as a starting point, the mountain in Hafjell is easily accessible. Here you will find mountain roads and paths perfect for cycling or walking. Several mountain farms are open in the summer with both animals and open café. 

In winter, you will also find the cross country trails that Hafjell have to offer practically right outside the door. It is a total of approx. 500 km of groomed trails for both classic and skating, and there are connections ski tracks all the way to Rondane in the north and the Birkebeiner trail that goes to Rena in the south.

Apartments

The apartment complex comprises 27 holiday apartments (in phase 1) over four floors, accessible by elevator.

Apartments are on average 62-88 square metres, and have 2 to 5 bedrooms. One of the signature features of the complex is the characteristic window design that offers spectacular views and creates stunning light and a unique sense of space. Several of the apartments will have a balcony at which to enjoy those beautiful days, and others will have “sit-in” windows with wide ledge where you can sit comfortably and enjoy the view – almost like being outside. Some of the front/top-floor apartments will have an open loft with TV lounge and two extra bedrooms. These apartments offer a living space of approx. 117 square metres.

Children´s areas

Hafjell is renowned for its children's areas, parks and activities for the very young, and has three KIDS family areas as well as three terrain parks. The resort is a family favourite, and with good reason.

Mosetertoppen offers a multitude of fun activities, ranging from a children’s slope with its own carpet lift to diamond hunts with Isa – our mascot – for the very young, to boxes and rails in the Backyard park for the older children. In addition, there are exciting events for at Mosetertoppen several days a week – such as junior ski patrol, family safari and face painting – and also ski movie race challenges at our super-cool run with timing system.

At Mosetertoppen, everything is within easy reach. You are in the heart of the alpine resort and its many slopes. There is also the option to continue to Hafjelltoppen at 1056 m above sea level in our 8-seater chairlift, or to go down to the Olympic runs and family areas at the bottom. The ski resort enjoys plenty of sunshine and offers excellent snow conditions from mid-November to mid-April.

Hafjell has about 50 km of alpine runs, and is currently Norway’s third largest ski resort – and is still growing! All apartments have their own private parking space.
