All about the start of the season in Hafjell

Ready for the start of the season?

Winter is on its way and the start of the season is here. On Saturday 30 November we were supposed to start the season, but due to strong winds in the mountains, we unfortunately have to keep Hafjell closed. We welcome both old and new skiers to a new season on Friday 06 December. From then on, Hafjell is open every day throughout the season.

Safety first!

The ski patrol will be out on the slopes to help and inform. It is important to respect barriers and stay away from areas with snow production. Remember that the snow cannons operate with high pressure of both air and water - here it is important to be careful.

Natural snow – but beware!

There has been some fresh snow, and it can look inviting outside groomed areas. Still, dangers such as twigs, stones, invisible streams and trees lurk. Therefore, stick to the trails that are open and groomed.

Welcome to a magical start to the season!
